Big things are happening at The Emporium nightspot in Fleet following its recent extensive refurb. And none bigger than on Friday 23rd October, when the venue will be hosting a Black Sheep Mag launch party.
The Emporium is in a key geographical location. Just off the M3, it's less an hour from most parts of London, and with key towns like Farnborough, Basingstoke, Reading, Bracknell, Maidenhead and Slough in its immediate catchment area. The musical programme is spearheaded by DJ Mr Jay, whose long-standing and far-reaching credentials speak for themselves. With over 25 years of rocking parties all over the world, backed up by a popular radio show on London's Life FM, and one of the most
downloaded black music podcasts on the web, it's fair to say Jay knows his onions when it comes to this music game.
On Friday 23rd October, Jay will be joined by Black Sheep's own Mark Devlin for a night of diverse urban music to mark the launch of the hottest on-line urban music mag on the net. Expect upfront, party-style R&B and hip hop, fused with a good few classic old school soul and funk jams. There'll be some generous CD giveaways too, (and we're talking quality stuff, not a load of old tripe we're trying to get rid of!)
The Emporium is at 271 Fleet Road, Hampshire, GU51 3QW. For further info on all its club nights, call 07833 512924, or e-mail
