Alicia Keys tops UK album chart

By Mark Devlin | 08 February 2010
Alicia Keys has topped the UK album chart with her fourth LP, 'The Element Of Freedom'. Her 'Empire State Of Mind' remains at number 5 in the singles chart, meanwhile.

The album was released in December, and has been climbing gradually. It has fought off tough competition from Dutch violinist Andre Rieu with his 'Forever Vienna', thought to be the highest charting classical album this century.

The only other soul/ R&B title in the album top ten this week is Corinne Bailey Rae's 'The Sea.'
