Baby Pun pays tribute to his pops

By Mark Devlin | 08 February 2010
The tenth anniversary of the death of New York rapper Big Pun is being marked by his son, Baby Pun, who has released a track entitled 'Glamour Life 2010' in his honour.
The song has been recorded alongside established artists Terminology, AC and Realm Reality. The original 'Glamour Life' appeared on Big Pun's 1998 album 'Capital Punishment', and featured Terror Squad members Fat Joe, Cuban Link, Triple Seis and Armaggedon.
The new version begins with a spoken intro from Big Pun himself, before his son picks up the vocals in a flow similar to, and clearly heavily inspired by his father.
Big Pun, real mane Christopher Rios, died of a heart attack on 7th February 2000 aged 28. He is survived by his ex-wife, Lisa, along with three children.
On 14th February, meanwhile, DJ Soul is to drop a Big Pun tribute mixtape, which will feature rarities, classic tracks and new remixes produced by Buckwild, Green Lantern, Sean C & LV.
