Def Jam to release 'hip-hop karaoke' video game

By Mark Devlin | 27 August 2010

Def Jam is set to release its Def Jam Rapstar video game in the Autumn, in conjunction with 4mm Games and Terminal Reality. The game blends classic and popular hip-hop songs with karaoke, and will be available for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii.

Among the artists featured on the game include 2Pac (“I Get Around”), The Notorious B.I.G. (“Juicy”), A Tribe Called Quest (“Scenario”), Big Pun (“Still Not A Player), 50 Cent (“I Get Money”), Lil Wayne (“A Milli”) and LL Cool J (“Mama Said Knock You Out”).

With the selection of each track, the music video plays in the background and a “about” facts column pops up on the side stating a brief biography of the artists.

Def Jam Rapstar will be available for purchase from 5th October 5th. More information at http:// www.defjamrapstar.com.
