A series of events are underway to mark the closure of the legendary Fat Beats record stores in both New York and Los Angeles. Just Blaze, Pete Rock and DJ Premier are among the many high-profile artists lined up to mark the last trading day of the New York location on Saturday.

The schedule in New York is as follows:

Wednesday 1st September: Bobbito, Mayhem, Riz, Juggaknots, Sputnik Brown, and more

Thursday 2nd September: Rob Swift, Torae, DJ Concept, DJ Amir, and more

Friday 3rd September: Masta Ace, J-Live, Pacewon, Tanya Morgan, and more

Saturday 4th September: Just Blaze, A-Trak, Pete Rock, DJ Premier, and more 

The Los Angeles location is preparing a similar set of events timed with the closing of its store on 18th September.
